Axis 360 delivers digital Audiobooks and eBooks for library users in EPUB, PDF and Blio formats to PC and Mac computers, laptops and netbooks, to smartphones and tablets running on Android and iOS, and to popular eReaders such as NOOK, Sony Reader and Kobo. eBooks use the free e-reading app Blio reader, which is available for download at the site. Support for Adobe Digital Edition compatible devices (Nook, Sony Reader) is also available via the ePub format. Access is provided by your library card and a Blio account, which you can create after you log in with your card.

Overdrive provides a platform for many mobile devices including Nook, Kindle, iPhone/iPod/iPad, Zune, Windows 7, BlackBerry, Android and Sony Readers. By clicking on the above "ebooks @ Overdrive" or the Overdrive icon, you will be taken to a site where you can browse, checkout and download through Queens Library, items from one of the largest collections of audiobooks, eBooks, music and videos. They are offered in Kindle, EPub, PDF, OePub and OPDF formats. Just remember to choose the correct format for your device and have fun reading!

TumbleBooks are animated, talking versions of picture books. They are created by taking existing picture books and adding animation, sound, music, and narration to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you. TumbleBooks are even in French and Spanish! Just click on the TumbleBooks icon for easy access; a username and password are not required! They also have games and puzzles! All you need is the Flash plug-in which is preloaded on all library computers and most home computers. If you are unable to view the TumbleBooks at home, you can download the plug-in for FREE  here.

Welcome to our new Chinese eBook service. Although Chinese language eBooks may not be read online or downloaded to library PCs, they may be read from any other Internet-enabled PC by downloading the Apabi reader and entering a valid Queens Library card ID. Take your pick from more than 6,000 items on topics including politics, literature, economics, education, etc. You can download up to 10 books at a time and keep them for 7 days. And since they are returned automatically, you never have to worry about late fees!

The eMagazines collection covers topics such as current issues, politics, financial management, arts, entertainment, modern literature, education, family life, general sciences, medicine and health, women's issues, etc. There is no need to register for this service. If you prefer to read magazines remotely, you will have to enter your Queens Library card ID.
