Welcome to the Adult Learning Center at Queens Library in Jamaica

The Central Adult Learning Center (Central ALC) is part of the Queens Library’s Adult Learner Program and is located at 89-11 Merrick Blvd. in Jamaica Queens in the Central Library Branch. The Center provides many resources to adult learners in diverse formats. We maintain an extensive collection of print, electronic, web-based, distant learning and multimedia resource materials that can be borrowed to help adult immigrants learn English and adult new readers develop and improve their reading skills. In addition, we have professional staff and volunteer led English conversation groups and beginning to advanced literacy/ABE groups.
