Citizenship Preparation

Learn English

Queens is the most ethnically diverse county in the United States, with more than 50% of its residents speaking a language other than English. To meet the needs of this growing community and assist those who want to learn English, Queens Library offers FREE English classes through its ESOL Program. The Queens Library ESOL Program is part of the New American's Program and is currently located at the Central Library. Each year, nearly three thousand students are enrolled in the program, representing more than 80 countries and speaking over 50 languages.

Diversity Visa (Green Card) Lottery

Diversity Visa Lottery is a program administered by the Department of State. Queens Library computers are available for applicants’ use at all locations during regular opening hours.
