Diversity Visa Application Assistance

Queens Public Library is making computers available from October 10 to November 4 to customers who want to fill out the online application for the Diversity Visa (Green Card) Lottery (DV-2021). Applicants can get assistance scanning photos at the following libraries: Central and Flushing -Mondays and Thursdays, 3:00-8:00PM; Jackson Heights - Thursdays 2:00-7:00 PM and Mondays 9:00 AM-2:00 PM; and Long Island City - Thursdays 2:00-7:00 PM and Mondays 3:00-8:00 PM.

Welcome to Coping Skills Informational Workshops

New Americans Program offers Copings Skills workshops: lectures and workshops to help immigrants adjust to life in America presented in select community libraries as well as the Central Library. Programs are presented in English and in the major immigrant languages of Queens by lawyers, teachers, counselors and other professionals. Topics presented include immigration law, becoming a citizen, tenant’s rights, career planning, starting a business, parenting, education and health.
